Learning Abled Kids OwnerSandy Cook is the founder of Learning Abled Kids. Sandy’s boys started out in public school. However, the school’s inability to effectively teach her son to read left Sandy and her husband feeling desperate for learning solutions.

Sandy began seeking answers and solutions through research, training, and reading everything she could about the challenges her boys faced. She KNEW her boys were learning ABLED.

When Sandy started homeschooling, she was in a graduate program to obtain a Master’s Degree in Instructional Design. Her Instructional Design background became a great blessing in the quest to help her sons overcome their learning challenges. It helped her design perfect programs for her boys.

Through homeschooling, Sandy and her boys had great educational success. Since Sandy took classes in multiple areas related to education. She accumulated a large amount of knowledge about meeting the special needs of Learning Abled Kids. With this information, Sandy was able to make educational plans that met her boys needs in stellar fashion.

By the time her boys graduated from high school, they were ranked as Sophomores in college, were accepted at every university they applied to, and received scholarships to help with the cost.

Sandy now provides individualized instructional design coaching services to parents who have had comprehensive neuro-psychological evaluations for their learning abled kids. (Sorry, but if all you have is a brief school-based evaluation, that is SELDOM enough information to create a program leading to educational success 😉 ).
